Welcome to MedGate. By using our medical tourism platform and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. We've written these terms in clear language to help you understand your rights and responsibilities when using our platform to access healthcare services in Rwanda.

About MedGate Services

MedGate is a medical tourism platform that connects international patients with verified healthcare providers in Rwanda. We facilitate:

• Hospital and specialist matching based on your medical needs
• Medical appointment coordination and scheduling
• Travel and accommodation arrangements
• 24/7 patient support throughout your healthcare journey
• Communication facilitation between patients and healthcare providers

Your Responsibilities

Accurate Information

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about your medical condition, health history, and personal details. Inaccurate information may affect the quality of care you receive and could pose health risks.

Medical Documentation

You are responsible for providing all necessary medical records, test results, and documentation required by healthcare providers. You must also ensure you have valid travel documents and any required visas for travel to Rwanda.

Payment Obligations

You agree to pay all fees associated with your medical treatment, accommodation, and other services as agreed upon. Payment terms will be clearly communicated before you commit to any services.

Medical Disclaimers & Limitations

Treatment Outcomes

We cannot guarantee specific medical outcomes or results from treatments. All medical procedures carry inherent risks, and outcomes may vary based on individual circumstances, medical conditions, and other factors beyond our control.

Healthcare Provider Responsibility

Healthcare providers in Rwanda are independent professionals and facilities. They are solely responsible for the medical care they provide. MedGate's role is limited to facilitation and coordination services.

Service Limitations

Availability

Our services are subject to availability of healthcare providers, facilities, and travel arrangements. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs but cannot guarantee availability of specific doctors, hospitals, or appointment times.

Emergency Situations

In medical emergencies, seek immediate local medical attention. While we provide 24/7 support, our services are not designed for emergency medical situations that require immediate intervention.

Travel Restrictions

We cannot control travel restrictions, visa requirements, or other governmental policies that may affect your ability to travel to Rwanda for medical treatment.

Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal and medical information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Payment & Refund Policy

Service Fees

MedGate charges coordination fees for our services. All fees will be clearly disclosed before you commit to any services. Medical treatment costs are separate and paid directly to healthcare providers.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms vary depending on the services booked and timing of cancellation. We will provide specific cancellation terms for each service at the time of booking. Some services may be non-refundable due to advance commitments made on your behalf.

Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and depend on the specific circumstances and terms of the services involved. We will work with you to find fair solutions when issues arise.

Limitation of Liability

MedGate's liability is limited to the coordination and facilitation services we provide. We are not liable for:

• Medical treatment outcomes or complications
• Actions or decisions of healthcare providers
• Travel delays, cancellations, or restrictions
• Changes in healthcare provider availability
• Currency fluctuations affecting treatment costs

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through the appropriate legal channels in Rwanda, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes and post updated terms on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
